"Babu" is a poet and spoken-word artist currently residing in San Diego, CA. His raw reality style has garnered him invitations to perform at venues nationwide. His volatile yet insightful performances have been featured at Mic @ Dim Lights, Do-Boyz Dozens, Da Poetry Lounge, The Strausberg theater, Tempest the World Stage, the Roxy, El Rey, and Magic Johnson's Starbuck's. He has also performed throughout the mexico and Canada.
Competitively, Babu was the 2003 Los Feliz Grand Slam Champion, 2004 and 2005 Los Angeles Grand Slam Champion. 2002-3 finalist in the Urban Graffiti Slam, 2003 Regional Slam team finalist & National Slam team semi-finalist.
