July 4, 2026Azure Strings was an amazing addition to my son's wedding ceremony. From our first conversation through the wedding day, Mary was friendly, responsive, and wonderful to work with. She answered our questions promptly and made the entire planning process seamless.
We had a special request for "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" to be played as the flower girl and ring bearer walked down the aisle. Mary happily accommodated our request, and it was such a sweet, memorable moment that everyone loved.
The trio performed beautifully, creating an elegant and unforgettable atmosphere. Their talent, professionalism, and warmth were evident from start to finish, and they truly helped make the ceremony feel extra special.
I would highly recommend Azure Strings to anyone looking for exceptional musicians for a wedding or any special occasion. They exceeded our expectations, and we're so grateful they were part of such an important day.

November 10, 2025I hired Azure Strings after interviewing 5 or 6 other ensembles for my niece's wedding. From the initial correspondence and phone conversations all the way up to and including the day of the wedding they provided prompt, thoughtful, and helpful responses to all of my concerns. Mary, the first violinist, took care of the venue choice and acoustic requirements therein, making for a seamless integration into the wedding ceremony. Further, she graciously helped out with the music selection across several genres of music. (They even allowed me to accompany them on several songs on guitar as requested by the bride.)
And then the day of the wedding--The music was several orders of magnitude beyond exceptional. Outstanding, first-class, extraordinary beyond my wildest hope. The whole timbre of the service was raised to a much higher level. It was perfect in every way. I am so thankful to Azure Strings for making a special day even more special.

Trio - a 3-person combination of violin, viola, cello, guitar, or piano. For a more intimate event or a smaller budget.
Duo - a 2-person combination of violin, viola, cello, guitar, or piano.
Solo - violin.

We play all genres of music including but not limited to Classical, Pop, Broadway, Rock, Country, Movie, Disney, Jazz, and Christian Contemporary. We are constantly updating our playlist to include the most current music and will also arrange any song requested by a client.
Azure strings - a music ensemble based in Northeast Ohio - creates exceptional music for discriminating private and professional clients. The group was founded in 2010 by violinist Mary Bontrager. For over ten years, the group has delivered customized professional music for a variety of events and venues. The members of Azure Strings are highly skilled musicians whose competence is apparent at each performance.
With our wide range of options, choosing the exact instruments you want can feel a little overwhelming. Rest assured that when you contact us we will guide you in selecting the instrumentation that best fits your event.
Aspects to consider:
1. Your venue. Larger venues call for more musicians to fill the space with sound.
2. Your music selection and personal taste. If you are interested in a playlist of classical music, a string quartet will be your best option.
