November 10, 2025I hired Azure Strings after interviewing 5 or 6 other ensembles for my niece's wedding. From the initial correspondence and phone conversations all the way up to and including the day of the wedding they provided prompt, thoughtful, and helpful responses to all of my concerns. Mary, the first violinist, took care of the venue choice and acoustic requirements therein, making for a seamless integration into the wedding ceremony. Further, she graciously helped out with the music selection across several genres of music. (They even allowed me to accompany them on several songs on guitar as requested by the bride.)
And then the day of the wedding--The music was several orders of magnitude beyond exceptional. Outstanding, first-class, extraordinary beyond my wildest hope. The whole timbre of the service was raised to a much higher level. It was perfect in every way. I am so thankful to Azure Strings for making a special day even more special.

July 14, 2025Azure Strings – Prelude Music to a Memorial Service.
The unexpected passing of a spouse and subsequent planning that needs to be done can be overwhelming. I desired a stringed instrument ensemble to provide special music prior to the Memorial service for my wife. I was referred to Azure Strings by a past co-worker acquainted with Mary Bontrager. The only word that can describe my experience with Azure Strings is “Excellence”. Mary responded quickly to my inquiry, answered all my questions regarding availability, pricing, and more importantly, the song choices that I desired. The punctuality, professionalism, and performance by her quartet added immensely to the Memorial Service, with many compliments from attendees. I cannot thank Mary and Azure Strings enough for their contribution to the Memorial Service.

Trio - a 3-person combination of violin, viola, cello, guitar, or piano. For a more intimate event or a smaller budget.
Duo - a 2-person combination of violin, viola, cello, guitar, or piano.
Solo - violin.

We are constantly updating our playlist to include the most current music and will also arrange any song requested by a client.
Azure strings - a music ensemble based in Northeast Ohio - creates exceptional music for discriminating private and professional clients. The group was founded in 2010 by violinist Mary Bontrager. For over ten years, the group has delivered customized professional music for a variety of events and venues. 1. Your venue. Larger venues call for more musicians to fill the space with sound.
2. Your music selection and personal taste. If you are interested in a playlist of classical music, a string quartet will be your best option.
