I am very good at reading a crowd and catering a particular show to that crowd, so each experience is different! I am equally adept at engaging guests for a raucous singalong or providing peaceful background music.

I'm Austin Klipp, a piano player and vocal entertainer based in Boston, MA. I love to lead sing-along piano bar-style shows all over New England and am just as comfortable playing private parties as lively taprooms. A lifelong piano player and singer, I can capture a crowd in seconds and make every performance unique. You can see some video samples of my work here! I capped off a day-long Octoberfest celebration at Dorchester Brewing Company playing requests from the Beatles to Kesha while guests hoisted steins of beer around me in true German style.

At Barlow's Restaurant in Boston, I led a group of friends in a singalong of “Rich Girl” by Hall & Oates, as they threw a goodbye party for one of their friends moving from Boston to Frankfurt, Germany!

At Tuscan Kitchen in Salem, NH, I entertained a crowd with my best impersonation of hip-hop artists including Blackstreet, Snoop Dogg and Drake.

I led a hearty singalong of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” at a retirement party overlooking the beach at Seaglass in Salisbury, MA.

I can be seen regularly at Dorchester Brewing Company in Boston, Club Car on Nantucket, and performing all over the Northeast with renowned dueling piano shows Shake Rattle Roll and New England Dueling Pianos. I've also performed at Howl at the Moon in Boston and Foxboro, MA, and Louisville, KY, and with their traveling arm Howl2Go at Ri Ra in Portsmouth, NH. I’ve also performed in much more intimate settings, such as in a living room for a close group of 20 friends and family, leading a specially prepared sing-along of their group’s favorite 60’s and 70’s rock songs. Or playing jazz and tender love songs to celebrate a couple’s 50th wedding anniversary – at the same hall where they were first married 50 years ago to the day. These performances have taken place in as many different settings as you can imagine – from celebrating the end of summer at the Great Harbor Yacht Club on Nantucket with a request show, to a wedding on an island off the coast of Maine, to a beautiful fall Mount Washington Cruise Line voyage in the Lake District of New Hampshire, performing classics for a group of foliage watchers.

In addition to pop/rock sing-alongs, I have an extensive repertoire in classical, jazz, Broadway and sacred music, and have provided both ceremonial and background music for private events including weddings, cocktail hours, religious services, and other special events. My mission is to bring people from different generations and backgrounds together on an uplifting musical journey to celebrate the most special of occasions... or just a fun night out! No matter the setting of your event, or the style and feel of music that you want, I can tailor the experience to you. I can bring my own keyboard, mic and small speaker and set it all up in advance as a part of my quote. My setup is small and compact and easily fits into the corner of a small room, but the sound can also spread to fill a larger function space. I can easily hook into a venue's PA system if preferred and am happy to connect with them and take care of these details!
