Overview
I have been playing piano and leading sing-alongs at parties, corporate events, and public venues for more than 30 years, including Friday nights at Jacob Wirth restaurant and Democracy Brewing in Boston. Wherever I play, songbooks can be distributed with the lyrics to more than 500 classic rock/oldies, show tunes, standards, and holiday songs. I cannot say enough amazing things about Mel! He was the perfect addition to our Christmas party and honestly I do not think I can host without him now! The music was spot on with the best mix of holiday songs and classic crowd pleasers, and everyone naturally gathered around to sing along, which was SO fun. The lyric books were such a fun touch and he was great about checking in, taking requests, and reading the room. On top of that, he was an excellent communicator and set up early with zero stress. He truly brought the party to life and people have been raving about him to me all day. Thank you Mel!!

What to expect
You can expect a great time, guaranteed. While I can play background music for your event, mainly classic rock/oldies from the 1950s-1970s, the event is greatly enhanced when the sing-along books are distributed, with lyrics to more than 500 songs. Guests singing around the piano add a great deal to a party. If a piano is not available, I can bring an electric keyboard. Influences and inspiration
I was heavily influenced by the music of the 1950s-1970s, although I include standards, show tunes, and, in December, holiday songs in the set list.
Setup requirements
No equipment is required, other than an electric outlet if I am bringing a keyboard.
