Asia Renea

Our band delievers an immersive musical experience for each of our clients. We tailor our selections to what the event and the client needs and prefers. We offer a full range band including guitar, keys, bass, drums and vocals with the option of horns at the client's request. Each of our members has studied music professionally in university and we continue to hone in on our skills to give you the best performance. We offer a variety of genres such as funk, rnb, pop, soul, jazz, and alternative rock but we can also take on requests. We are well versed in both current music slelections and oldies that any group would enjoy. We have found success with both young and older audiences in our previous performances.

We can work around any itinerary you may have in place for your event and can handle last minute changes as they come up. We have our own equipment available for event spaces that do not offer in house audio systems. Most importantly, we are flexible and welcome any requests from clients as they need for their event. We do our very best to appease any of these requests and provide the best service.

Asia Johnson is a vocalist working towards her Master’s in Vocal Performance at Montclair State University (MSU). She graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor's in Music Performance and Pedagogy and was awarded solos for the concerts including Anima Christi by Marco Frisini with the graduate choir, as well as the Domine Deus, Agnus Dei solo from Verdi's Glory. She performs with the MSU vocal jazz group (Vocamotion) and the Kean Community Jazz band as a featured soloist. Her most recent performance was at the popular jazz club, Dizzy’s, in New York in the Vocamotion quartet. Outside of school, Johnson performs at Messiah Lutheran Church under the direction of Mark Celis, St. James Roman Catholic Church under Rob Laporte, and with her band Asia Renea.

Johnson began her band Asia Renea during her studies at Montclair. Her band quickly gained success performing at various galas and corporate events and independent shows. They pride themselves in professionalism and accuracy. Members of her band have studied music in university and independently for years and continue to hone in on their skills. Asia Renea most enjoys sharing their music with others and incorporating their love of various styles in their playing.

We are very flexible and have worked in both large space with stages and smaller locations. We only ask for a space large enough to fit our band and equipment as needed. Our band uses tablets so we do not require specific lighting to see. We do our best to adjust our volume to fit the client's needs but do keep in mind that a live band will never get as quiet as a prerecorded track, especially in a small space. We have our own mic and amplfication equipment available but we can utilize a venue's audio equipment as well as long as we can adjust the settings to our specific needs.
