MalFunkTion is an eight‑piece, horn‑powered funk/pop band built by a lineup of full‑time, career musicians. Every member comes from long‑running projects, national‑level acts, and established regional bands — and MalFunkTion is the passion project where they come together to play the music they love most.

With a three‑piece horn section, powerhouse female lead vocalist, and a rhythm section with decades of combined stage experience, MalFunkTion delivers a high‑energy show shaped by musicians who live and breathe performance. This is the band they built for themselves — a place to stretch out, have fun, and bring a horn‑band party to every stage they hit.

Stage:
Minimum performance area: 18’ x 12’
Level, stable, and free of obstructions

Power:
1-2 dedicated 20A circuits
Circuits should be separate from bar, kitchen, or lighting loads

Audio:
MalFunkTion can provide a full PA and lighting system for events up to approximately 3,000 attendees.
For larger events, festivals, or long‑throw outdoor stages, the venue or event must provide professional PA and lighting appropriate for the expected crowd size and space to include:

Professional FOH PA system capable of covering the venue
5 monitor mixes preferred (minimum 4 acceptable)
12–16 input channels
3 horns
Lead vocal, 3 background vocals
Guitar
Bass
Keys
Drums
