I was never the girl with a scrapbook of my fairytale wedding. In all honesty I hadn't thought much about my wedding, until I was planning it with my husband. When it came time for our wedding day, I had an entirely new perspective of the day. It's hard to describe in words the incredible emotions of a wedding day. The people present made the fairytale wedding that I never even knew I wanted, come to life. Those people made the magic, and I will always cherish what they created for us. After the dreamy experience I had on my wedding day, I knew I wanted to be part of curating that story for others.

Live painting allows me to narrate the couple's story through brush strokes on canvas. I get to collaborate with my couples to create the perfect painting that captures their unique romance and document that romance through the expression of my own hand. My clients and I pick what moment feels the most important to immortalize from their wedding day. This moment could be the ceremony, the first dance or any special moment of the couple’s choosing. I could even add little special details to combine a few different moments. I will capture video and photographic footage to reference the moment chosen by the couple – this ensures likeness, and authenticity in my work. As the wedding day flows, my hand flows with it – creating a one of a kind experience and an heirloom documenting their vow to begin that next adventure together.

I get the privilege to create an irreplaceable image that keeps the couple's day alive forever. My hope with my artwork is to provide my clients with not only a keepsake from one of the most special days of their lives but to also provide them a one of a kind experience. In this case I get to share what I love in tandem with personally experiencing the unique magic of each of my clients wedding days unfolding.

I have always wondered what my place in the world is. What does my artwork bring to its viewers? It wasn’t until I started this journey as a live wedding painter that I realized that my job is to be the orator for those that allow me to step into their world. I get to immortalize all the parts of life that make a wedding day mean so much more than just the aesthetic details. I get to tell the remarkable story of love, dedication, acceptance, commitment, joy, sadness and every detail that brought the couple to that moment. Through my brush strokes I get to capture a celebration of all that came before and the start of everything that will come after. The story of love is something I will never get tired of telling, and it is the greatest of honors to be a part of that story.
