Overview
Asheba is a musical storyteller who specializes in calypso, the musical and folkloric oral tradition of Trinidad, Asheba's homeland. Stories of hope and happiness are the focus of his songs, which range from original lullabies to fast tempo tunes to remakes of classics such as Itsy Bitsy Spider, Five Little Monkeys, and You Are My Sunshine.
Now based in Oakland CA, Asheba has been performing at children's play-spaces, museums, schools, libraries, hospitals, festivals and more for the past twelve years. Asheba's songs are currently available on four CDs: "Go Itsy," "No More Monkeys," and "Children are the sunshine." His last release is titled "In The Kid Zone."

The children and families loved him. His music was great he performed 5 monkeys jumping on the bed, and other nursey rhymes with a Caribbean twist. Very entertaining would book him again.

We have Asheba's CDs and saw him perform in person. He is a easy going, friendly, and captivating individual. All the children loved listening and dancing to the music.
