About

Hi! I'm Anyrah Shavéh, an award-winning poet, performer, and teaching artist. It is my priority to bring a rare combination of lyrical power and genuine warmth to every stage I step on. My work has reached 4M+ people across platforms—with 30K followers on Instagram and 55K on TikTok. I have performed at Lincoln Center in New York City, AFROPUNK, and alongside Grammy Award-winning artists. I was recently selected as a writer for the McCormack Writing Center (formerly Tin House Workshop) and hold a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Tennessee State University.

My poetry is rooted in women's wellness, lineage, and cultural memory— told through radical truth-telling that moves audiences beyond the performance and into something they carry with them.

I craft experiences that leave audiences feeling invigorated, inspired, and seen. Whether I am delivering a keynote, a spoken word performance, or a workshop for your team, I meet every room with intention and heart. As a teaching artist, I have designed and led creative writing and spoken word programs for K–12 students through Urban Word NYC and Writers in the Schools because my gift is not just in the performance, but in what I ignite in others.

If you are looking for a voice that moves people and a presence that lingers long after the last word— I am your next booking.
