A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Alvaro Buenrostro has been playing the violin since age 10 and has played with various orchestras throughout the USA. Alvaro was born in Venezuela and at a young age moved to Orlando, Florida. During his childhood, he had the opportunity to live abroad in Hong Kong and the Philippines where he enhanced his violin studies and played in various chamber groups.
Alvaro graduated from the University of Central Florida with two engineering degrees; Aerospace and Mechanical engineering. While attending UCF, he played with the Symphony Orchestra as Principle Second Violin, Chamber Orchestra as concertmaster, and studied under the instruction of Dr. Ayako Yonetani resident violin instructor at UCF. Alvaro has traveled extensively within the US with his engineering job and has played with several orchestras in Philadelphia, Los Angelas, San Diego, and currently plays with the Tampa Bay Symphony Orchestra.
