Anne Marie Music

Anne Marie Misovich, a flautist for over thirty years, has been performing since the age of ten. Because of her promise as a musician, she was provided formal private instruction for years, her final teacher the principal flautist of Lyric Opera of Chicago, Jozef Zverov. She has performed as a solo instrumentalist, in ensembles & orchestras.

She also has an extensive background as a vocalist – singing solo & choral music – where she obtained valuable formal vocal instruction during years singing in various choral groups, as well as over two decades of solo performance at weddings, funerals, etc. She also has experience in singing while playing guitar or some piano. She has often served as the music coordinator for many of the events at which she performed.

She began studying music theory & performance at six years of age as part of her school curriculum. By the age of nine she knew how to read music. Her first experience was listening to "The Sound of Music" which she found absolutely fascinating! She also sang with the radio all the time, singing lead parts as well as harmonies - intuitively knowing what to do with her voice, with perfect pitch. Her school music education which began in the first grade continued on through the twelfth grade, as well as into her college years.

She can play by ear, but knows how to read music & is a strong sight reader. As you listen to her audio samples or watch her video, please be aware that no enhancements at all have been done to these recordings, neither are there any backup artists singing or playing fill. The samples she prepared for you are "unplugged": this is her real voice, real flute, piano, guitar. This is the real Anne Marie. She will consider requests to join with other performers for a particular event.
