Saw them at Tony Ds at the end of March, I believe. They played their guts out. Tremendously impressive on all stations. That's a hard room to play bc its so small and they really have to watch the volume, which isn't easy with that kind of music.
The man on bass was so, so good. He did it all that night; singing. playing bass and playing keyboard. He did all that for what had to be two and a half to three hours.
The drummer was fantastic. he never ducked a tough part by simplifying it. He played them all under the tough conditions of "small room restraint." Its hard to play that way yet he did real well.
The guitarist was right on with every song. He's a little subdued and not very outgoing, but he did the job.
It was a free show, but hell, I'd pay to see them.

We play, exclusively, the music of Rush throughout their years of existence. We strive to be as authentic as possible to the sound and vibe of their studio and live recordings.
About
Animation has been headlining as "A Tribute to RUSH" since their first show in March, 1987 at "Chances R" in Palatine, IL. Animation is a Chicago based 3 Piece RUSH Tribute Band. They are 3 RUSH fanatics who’s attention to the details and nuances of RUSH music allow them to re-create an extremely accurate rendition of the original trio's music. The band covers ALL eras of Rush, from the first album, to their latest CD.
They have played many shows, and concerts including opening for The Scorpions, The Doobie Bros., Heart, Asia, Peter Frampton, and STYX.
They even played an adjacent stage from RUSH for 10,000 RUSH fans, TWICE!
