Andrew Pringle is an up and coming American bass-baritone based out of Los Angeles, California. He has performed as a soloist and chorister with many acclaimed conductors at venues like Walt Disney Concert Hall, Microsoft Theatre, and the Long Beach Performing Arts Center.
Recently, Andrew has performed in opera masterclasses with brilliant performers and directors such as Lisette Oropesa and James Darrah. He has performed the roles of Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Gloster Heming in Virgil Thomson’s The Mother of Us All, Antonio in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and Father Trulove in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress. He also enjoys performing and advancing new music, having sung in the world premiere of Carla Lucero’s Juana and the west coast premiere of Janice Hamer’s Lost Childhood. Later this year, Andrew will be performing Don Annibale in Opera Italia's production of Donizetti's Il Campanello.
Andrew is also an active choral singer that has performed in several U.S. cities and the U.K. In 2021, he won a Grammy as a member of the UCLA Chamber Singers for “Best Choral Performance” on Richard Danielpour’s The Passion of Yeshua. He has participated in the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute at Aspen Music Festival and the Seraphic Fire Ensemble Artist Program.
Andrew earned his Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music studying with Vladimir Chernov, Peter Kazaras, and Dr. James Bass. Outside of music, he enjoys watching and playing sports and hanging out with his cat.
