Hi! I am Anastasia DiFonzo, a local Oakland poet. I released my debut poetry book, A Certain Serenity, with Puna Press in April 2022, and have been performing ever since. I am experienced performing poetry solo, with openers, and with musical accompaniment.

Anastasia DiFonzo (she/her) is an Oakland based poet with a cat named Klaus. She came to poetry because after years of silence, it was time to speak, and nothing can capture complexity and wholeness the way a poem can. In exploring the possibility of hope and healing through pain, DiFonzo aims to capture that wholeness.
