Hi! I am Anastasia DiFonzo, a local Oakland poet. I released my debut poetry book, A Certain Serenity, with Puna Press in April 2022, and have been performing ever since. I am experienced performing poetry solo, with openers, and with musical accompaniment.

She came to poetry because after years of silence, it was time to speak, and nothing can capture complexity and wholeness the way a poem can. In exploring the possibility of hope and healing through pain, DiFonzo aims to capture that wholeness.
