His known for his peace-building and conflict transforming work through music. Eager to travel and perform, Ami is ready to make any event and celebration an occasion filled with song and sound.
I would recommend Ami Yares for any party. We had an outdoor affair and he was the perfect music to accompany an evening cocktail hour. He was very easy to work with and flexible - you won't go wrong if you hire him. We are hoping to use him again in the future
Ami Yares played a gig for the Philadelphia Folksong Society in January and absolutely captivated our attention! Between his beautiful original lyrics, classic Americana-style vocals, a couple of well-placed and incredibly creative Hebrew covers, Ami was an exceptional showman. He created rapport immediately with the audience.
Ami Yares has played at our brewery several times over the past few years. Not only a great musician, Ami is a fantastic performer. The energy that he brings to his performances and the way that he connects with the audience makes the atmosphere absolutely electric. This is truly one singer who loves what he does and it came through loud and clear in every show. Now send him back to Israel so we can book him again!
Ami and his band did an amazing job at our wedding! The music was incredible--Ami really got the "vibe" we were going for--and everything ran super-smoothly, both for the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. The music was especially tricky in our case, because we had a mix of Jewish/traditional (for the family) and bluegrass/folk (for us) but Ami and his band pulled it off smoothly. We got so many compliments on the music afterwards! I highly recommend working with Ami, both for his skill as a musician and professionalism.

Ami thrives off the energy of staged performances and takes this energy into formal and informal educational settings as well. He has toured in over twenty countries teaching and performing about social action, music, and more. Ami is a Global Ambassador for the Palestinian and Israeli youth music program, Heartbeat. This spring, he helped produce the first Hebrew language tribute to the Grateful Dead with Israeli rapper, Sagol 59. Ami often tours with his brother, Gavri Tov, in the roots fusion duo, The Brothers Yares. This summer, the Brothers Yares will release their second EP. Ami will also be featured on the forthcoming Seeds of Peace album, “We Make the Road by Walking.” The recording features musicians from Israel, West Bank/Palestine, Jordan, Gaza, and the United States.
