Overview
Covering the best songs of the Baby Boomer generation!
"AmerikanaBlue" is an acoustic trio that features the type of music you might have heard in Greenwich Village coffeehouse in the late 60's, but reinvented to include the music that was spawned from the coffeehouse movement. Rock, folk, protest, plantation Blues, country, Soul... anything that someone with a Sears guitar and an ounce of courage might get up and sing during a hootenanny!
"AmerikanaBlue" was developed for playing in more intimate settings and allowing. We specialize in dinner service, apres ski, happy hour... Any type of event where people talk, drink and listen. We are not a "dance band" but we do play dance songs!

We loved this crew! Reasonably priced. Perfect for my dad's 70th birthday with all his favorite music. They were very flexible with timing, requests, volume, etc. Everyone was dancing and raved about them. I would recommend Amerikana Blue for ANY type of party or event.

What to expect
"AmerikanaBlue" is a semi acoustic trio. Acoustic guitar, standup bass, electric guitar and vocals. All instruments and voices are mixed through a PA. We play at a volume that allows conversation while listening. The second set tends to be a little louder and faster. Our set is usually 3 hours with a 20 minute break midway through. We will interact with the audience as appropriate.
About
AmerikanaBlue grew out of an electric Chicago Blues band in which Phil, and Sam were players. Andy, lead guitar and vocals, later joined and we started to have opportunities to play quieter venues in happy hour, apres ski and dinner service settings where it was important for patrons to be able to have conversations. As we started to develop our repertoire, we initially gravitated toward old style Blues and folk music. Although we sometime will include songs from those genres, we mostly focus on music that was influenced by the coffeehouse era.
