About
From the limestone hills of Marble Falls, Texas to the musical heartbeat of Nashville, TN, Amber Westerman embodies the essence of modern Americana music with a reimagined flare. Her musical journey ignited on the volcanic shores of Hawaii's Big Island, where she discovered her voice as a storyteller amidst a vibrant artistic community, shared her first time on stage with roots music mainstay Mishka, and developed a sound that is uniquely her own.
Music, for Westerman, has always been medicine, a way to process emotions and connect hearts. Drawing inspiration from Kacey Musgraves’ sharp wit, the soulful warmth of Jason Mraz, the heartfelt storytelling of Sarah Jarosz, and Brandi Carlile’s powerful vocal presence, she's crafted a signature style that creates an intoxicating blend of front-porch intimacy and main-stage presence. Her 2023 EP Love Is Here stands as a testament to this philosophy, with the lead single Love Who You Are celebrating the art of collective storytelling, its music video intricately weaving together several fan-submitted memories into a visual tapestry of shared experiences.
Back in Texas, her music continues to turn heads, crowned "Entertainer of the Year" at the 2022 Dallas Model & Talent Expo, and with Easy With You and Sunflowers earning consecutive finalist spots in the acclaimed Kent Finlay Song Search Contest (2023–2024), solidifying her place in Texas's rich tradition of songwriting.
With her newest single “Barefoot Days,” Westerman is further delving into her Americana roots, crafting songs that bridge the gap between modern folk sensibilities and the timeless art of country storytelling. In an industry often focused on trends, she remains steadfast in her mission: making music that helps listeners feel more present in their lives and their hearts.
