My work has taken me all over the globe, from playing my own solo arrangement of the National Anthem for the New York Mets at Citi Field, to touring Northern Italy with the Oxford University Orchestra, to collaborating with the Piano Guys at the National Theatre in Washington D.C.
I've played violin for 14+ years and graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Music. Alyssa Kim is a professional violinist based in New York City whose work spans musical theater, classical performances, and viral online content.
An active freelance and pit musician, Alyssa has performed in shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Legally Blonde, Next to Normal, and Sunday in the Park with George. She has also collaborated with renowned artists like The Piano Guys, Julia Riew, Cheeyang Ng, and she was featured in the House Band for Maestra Music’s First Takes: Classic Broadway Reimagined (2025) and August Edition (2024). Alyssa graduated magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University in 2025 with a degree in Music and Computer Science. There, she was a first violinist of the Columbia University Orchestra and the Concertmaster and Assistant Music Director for various musical theater productions on campus.
