Alliance String Quartet

We will provide players of two violins, viola, and violoncello for your event. For weddings we will play up to one half hour of prelude music, selections for all entrances, mid ceremony, and ten minutes of postlude.. We also can play for cocktail hour, dinner and reception. We have played background music for many parties, and have done several concerts in the past. We also will attend wedding rehearsals and give discounts to bridal couples serving in the military. Our aim is to provide lovely music for every need you have in this field.. Our repertoire not only includes classical music,, we also play light music,, even some heavy metal rock music!! You will find us to be a very fun quartet of four players,, and can even provide just two players or a trio of players. We would so appreciate being a part of your special event!! The Alliance String Quartet has been together since 1998, and formed by principal players of the Alliance Symphony Orchestra.. We are all active members of other fine orchestras also. We enjoy playing for weddings, parties , and concerts.. Our first violinist is on staff at The University of Mount Union, any our other performers are teachers. We give discounts to those bridal couples serving in the military, or who have served in the past. A couple of us also attend wedding rehearsals to provide music. We have other fine string players who are teachers and of the highest caliber for performing. We would be honored to be a part of your special event!!

We bring our own equipment, including music stands and lights.. All we need is a place to plug in our orchestra lights, plus four armless chairs, and we are ready to go!! When playing outdoors we ask for a dnnner tent or canopy to cover us as we play to protect our very valuable instruments. We may provide one microphone for the four of us, or could be included in the system of the disc jockey. Our coordinator assists us with timing and setup. A soprano vocalist of the highest caliber can also be provided to sing with our group.
