Ali Mills, a Southern California native raised in Malibu and longtime Los Angeles resident, first made her mark performing with several bands before embracing songwriting during the pandemic and embarking on a solo career. A devoted mother, Mills brings a depth of meaning and resilience to her craft, pursuing music with unwavering passion.
She has begun releasing singles from her upcoming LP, the first of which—“Canyon”—is a sun-drenched musical daydream about California. Mills’s sound, described by radio hosts as “Jenny Lewis meets Stevie Nicks,” roots itself in Folk-Americana but swells with full-bodied arrangements that expand the sonic landscape.
