Overview
Motown: I'm a keyboardist that performs with an existing Motown group that performs all over the U.S. This group, The Best Of Motown & More, will travel anywhere in the United States to perform at your venue of choice. This is a group of professional singers that has been performing Motown music there for over 12 years.
Dance Band: I have at my disposal at any time, many professional musicians. I can put together a high quality dance band, guaranteed to have the people at your event dancing the night away. While we can perform anything you like, these musicians play some of the finest R&B, Funk, and Pop music there is. We also keep current with the trends in music.

What to expect
Firstly, you will see that our members show up on time or well before the start of the show. We respect our music, so we do what is necessary to allow the show to be something you will remember, and as free from problems as is possible. So we show up early, setup our PA system, run a proper sound check so that you do not hear things like squealing microphones, or speakers that are too loud. We are trying to entertain you, not render you deaf.
The next thing you will see is that we start on time. Image is everything in this business, and we will always abide by our contracted start time and fulfill our obligation to you.
You will also see right away that we dress well. You wont see musicians that show up looking sloppy and unkempt. You will see a professional appearance that says we care about what we are doing. We feel like entertaining you is a privilege and the show we put on will prove that to you. You will also not see us drinking on stage. If we have a drink, it will occur during a break or after the gig. Part of respecting your craft means performing at our best when on stage.
Why should you hire AlgoRhythm? Because we understand that we are providing you with a service that you could get from any number of bands. We can also say with confidence that we will groove your party or event such that you will not forget us. We would be very happy if you chose our band, and we will make it a performance to remember!
About
One of the current bands I am in is called "AlgoRhythm". This is an unusual group as we perform songs outside of the normal "dance" music set. While this group can play dance music with the best of bands anywhere, much of what we do fits into the category of "listening" music, which is good for certain types of events, where people don't normally expect to dance, rather, they want to relax, have some food and drinks, and be able to have a conversation while the band is performing. If your venue or event is like this, then AlgoRhythm would be a good choice. Each member of this group is a professional musician in St. Louis, and as such, we possess a variety of musical experiences in our collective arsenals. This is not a young band. The average age of our members is 45. We come musical backgrounds that include an appreciation for Motown, 60s, 70s, & 80s Rock, the classic R&B and Funk of the 70s, 80s, & 90s, and the best songs from 2000 and forward. We can boast this because we have members who have their finger on the pulse of modern music, while retaining an appreciation and expertise of the classics. AlgoRhythm is unique in this sense.
Additional booking notes
We have a 4-piece rhythm section, comprised of:
Electric Bass - 1 mono channel
Electric Guitar - 1-2 mono channels
Keyboards - 2 synth boards with mono/stereo capabilities. Can provide a stereo DI if desired, with 2 separate mono channels supplied. Also use a Midi board attached to one of the synthetic. Sounds from the MIDI board come from one of the existing synth channels.
Drums - 3 to 7 mic channels, depending upon the need of the gig.
Vocals - 3-4 mono channels for voice.
Monitoring: We have the ability to provide our own monitoring and up to 8 individual monitor mixes.
PA: we can provide PA and a sound engineer, but will also work with a house engineer.
Expectations: we don't require a lot but we would be pleased if we could be assured that we will be using grounded power outlets at the performance venue, and of sufficient power- handling capacity to handle the equipment we are providing for the event. The best way to determine this is for us to take a look at the stage environment ourselves if possible or in the case of an out of town event, we would request to speak with the house engineer if there is one. In the case of a theatre or similar venue, we will request the standard list generally provided by the venue, listing the equipment and amenities available.
