Alexandria Harrington, Violinist

Violinist Alexandria Harrington has engaged audiences through orchestra, chamber music and solo performances. While at Florida State University, Alexandria earned a bachelor’s in music therapy degree and a certificate in violin performance under the tutelage of Corinne Stillwell. Alexandria is a graduate of Arizona State University, studying with violinist Dr. Jonathan Swartz. Alexandria has performed throughout the United States and Italy. Performances have included collaboration with artists such as Amy Grant, Cirque de la Symphonie, Steep Canyon Rangers, Stefan Jackiw, Johannes Moser, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet among others. During the summer months, Alexandria has participated in the Brancaleoni International Chamber Music Festival, KinHaven Young Artist Seminar, Brevard Music Center Orchestra, and the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra.

As a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Alexandria has worked with people of varying abilities, including veterans, older adults, and children. Alexandria is uniquely qualified to use music to address non-musical goals.

String instruments don't do well when it is raining outside, and I will be unable to perform in the event of rain. That's the only requirement!
