Poetry is the language of the soul. I use my 10 years of experience to set, change or create an atmosphere for audiences to be encouraged and inspired. I seek to wield my skill and passion to make sure that not only the audience time at the event is powerful and memorable, But also I want to ensure honest conversation and reflection that will last the entire ride home as well. I am also the author of Can I Be Honest, my first book of poetry.

Alexander James is simply put, AMAZING! I have heard and sat to listen to many poets and spoken word artist, and NEVER has my mind, intellect, heart or soul been impacted in the manner in which he did. Outside of being a great Poet, his ministry was definitely exemplified, with enthusiasm, passion, and understanding. I would suggest if you have yet to hear him in action, that you quickly find yourself booking him for your next event and/or program. Alexander James is a Los Angeles born powerhouse speaker who has shared his heart on countless stages over his ten-year career as a minister and speaker.
Over the years he has become a regular at the local presenter and poetry coach at Christian Universities such as Azusa Pacific University, Biola University, and Pepperdine University Malibu. he is often called to travel to share his sharp wit and honest art with all generations. from Chicago to Hawaii, he seeks to encourage others to ask the hard questions and mature in their faith. He is currently the Youth Minister at First Missionary Baptist Church.
