**Before Your Event**

I'll work with you to understand your vision, musical preferences, and the atmosphere you want to create. Together, we'll develop a musical experience that complements your occasion.

For weddings, this includes discussing meaningful song selections, processional and recessional music, ceremony timing, and any special musical moments. I'm also happy to coordinate with your wedding planner or venue to ensure everything runs smoothly.

**On the Day**

I'll arrive with sufficient time to prepare, coordinate with the appropriate event professionals, and have everything ready before the performance begins.

My setup is self-contained, with professional amplification available when needed.

**The Musical Experience**

My performances range from elegant acoustic cello to contemporary electric cello, incorporating classical, cinematic, pop, rock, and jazz influences.

For ceremonies, the focus is on emotional expression, precise timing, and beautifully executed transitions.

For cocktail hours and private celebrations, I adjust the repertoire, dynamics, and energy to complement the atmosphere.

I'm Alex Cousins, a professional acoustic and electric cellist bringing expressive, sophisticated live music to weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events throughout Sarasota, Tampa Bay, and Southwest Florida.

My musical background is rooted in classical training, but my artistry extends far beyond traditional repertoire. I move comfortably between classical masterpieces, contemporary favorites, cinematic music, rock, and pop—often bringing a distinctive improvisational approach to familiar songs.

What makes my performances special is the combination of musical depth, versatility, and an intuitive understanding of the occasion.

For wedding ceremonies, I create personal, emotionally meaningful musical moments, working closely with couples and planners to ensure every entrance and transition feels natural and beautifully timed.

My setup is fully self-contained and designed to be simple and unobtrusive.

For most events, I provide all necessary sound equipment, including amplification suitable for small to medium-sized spaces.

All I typically need is:
• A standard power outlet nearby
• A small performance area (approximately 6–8 feet of space)

For outdoor events, a shaded or covered area is preferred to protect the instrument and equipment.

If your event has a larger space or specific audio requirements, I’m happy to coordinate with your planner or venue to make sure everything is handled properly.
