As an entertainer and a performer it was an honor and a blessing to have performed for the Class Reunion of the Class 0f 1981 plus. I also had members of my group Top Flight Entertainers and we enjoyed the class members, families and friends as the hospitality that they shared. We try our best to please an audience by giving 100% and we are grateful that this group were just as rewarding and enjoyable in being entertained.
Al was perfect for this occasion...we enjoyed the smooth sounds and relaxed atmosphere it provided. Can't wait to use him again!!

I hired Al Zaid for my mothers 65th birthday party. He was professional and arrived on time. He stayed in touch with me the entire time leading up to our event. He played a lot of songs that we loved. This musician is for a laid back mature crowd. I would hire him again. The key boarder was excellent.

We like to thank Barbara for giving us the opportunity to perform for her mother's birthday. We had a great time and her preparations were off the hook and the food was delicious. The family was very kind and respectful.
Mr. Zaid was stupendous and he and his keyboardist gave a very enjoyable performance. Despite the rain, people sat under umbrellas and clapped enthusiastically! Many people bought his CD which is beautiful and romantic!

We look forward to working at this wonderful venue again in the future. The hospitality, food and the venue was great. The Roanoke community should be proud to have such upscaled restaurant in the downtown area.
I am in charge of the entertainment at our apartment complex for active seniors. We have entertainment once or twice a month. Al was one of the best singers we have had here. In fact, six people bought his cd, after the performance. He was professional and had an amazing sound system. We cannot wait for him to come here, again! There is no need to hire a full band for your next event, when you can hire Al!

Al & his band were a hit for my parent's 60th birthday party this weekend. I have never seen my Dad dance so much! They played a mix of Motown, Jazz and R&B. I can't tell you how many compliments we got from our guests saying how much they liked the band. By the end of the party everyone was out on the floor dancing.
Al was easy to work with, with fair pricing, and very professional. I have never hired a band before so I was bit worried how it would all work out, but the experience with Al was as easy as could be. I would definitely hire this band again.

This band knows how to work a crowd into cohesive, energized dancing fun. They get to know you, respond to requests, and get the energy flowing between the crowd and the band.
They know how to pace it (even in 109 degree heat)!
They made the large party rock. Next day, everyone was talking about them and that is a great sign that the same crowd wants them back for the next event!

About
Singing at the age of nine, Al Zaid is known as the man with a thousand voices. With an unlimited vocal ability and his achievement of perfection, afforded Al the opportunity to be the former lead singer of the Zola Taylor's Platters (one of the original member of the Platters group). Additionally, Al Zaid has performed R&B, Pop, Broadway Musicals and Jazz.
Of great musical historic value, Al has opened for some of the world’s para-mounted artist such as; Al Green, The Emotions, Bobby Wormack, Isaac Hayes, Etta James, and The Temptations. As a dynamic vocalist and magnificent performer, Al Zaid has executed tributes and voice makeovers of such artist as; Tony Williams of the Platters, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Eddie Kendricks, Curtis Mayfield, George Benson.
Al Zaid has great tonation of his four-octave ranges. Singing 1st tenor, 2nd tenor and baritone keep his music dynamic, which adds that special something to your event. Al’s newly released CD 'The Nearness of Love’ is a musical dynasty of his ability as a vocalist singing Jazz Standards of such artist as, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Nat King Cole and Tony Williams of ‘The Platters’. Al believes in working with the best musicians and giving more than 100 percent. Al Zaid performs with a keyboardist or his trio (Legends of Classic Soul Jazz)
Al Zaid’s show ‘ The Nearness of Love’ is a tribute to some of the world’s renown crooners which have performed ‘The Greatest Love Songs’ some of which Al presents in his own style on his newly released CD “The Nearness of Love”
