Akoiya

Akoiya is a Neo-Soul singer/songwriter from Columbus, Ohio, whose musical journey began at birth. Gospel music was her foundation, leading her to perform in various choirs, singing groups, and eventually as a solo artist. While earning a degree in Music Business, Akoiya made the move to the DMV, spending years in different parts of Maryland before fully embracing the area as her second home. Now, after years in the city, she proudly represents both DC and Maryland as part of her artistic identity. Akoiya’s music is deeply rooted in storytelling, empowerment, love, and the lessons that shape us. She crafts songs that resonate with authenticity and emotion, blending raw vulnerability with soulful melodies.
