My name is Austin Klein. I am an Audio Engineer/DJ based in the Portland area.

AK Productions sprung out of a small country bar in the Pacific Northwest. The thrill of manipulating sound and lights quickly possessed a young West-Coast entrepreneur. Through years of schooling, research, and opportunities in the field, AK Productions was honed into a company that connects the talent to the crowd. From solo singer/songwriters to Billboard charting, Grammy Nominated artists - versatility is my biggest asset when it comes to connecting the artist to the audience. Audio Engineering is my passion in life.

I am also an Event DJ. I have always been a general music fan. I've never really stuck to listening to one genre, and appreciate all music from every culture. That has been such an advantage with DJing weddings and events. I consider myself a "Chameleon DJ" in that I can match pretty much any vibe my clients are looking for. I DO take requests as well. My background in Audio Engineering definitely improves my skills as a DJ. I care how my performance sounds, not just what songs I'm playing. I make it a priority to set the vibe right with my song choices, but more importantly, how the songs are felt by the audience. Nobody wants to have to cover their ears to dance, and nobody wants to scream their conversations.
