July 28, 2026Jim played for our large Italian family reunion at our backyard last summer and it was excellent. Not only did he play the classic Italian tunes he also did modern music with a twist to fit the accordion.

I typically perform 3 hour events. I bring all of my own gear and arrive early in time to set up. I occasionally take breaks for water during the event but for the majority of it I perform all sorts of music. I typically try to gauge the crowd and play what I think they would like to hear. I've gotten better at doing that over the years.
I started out young playing the piano which taught me to site read music and compose. Later in life while attending college I learned to play the accordion along side my roommate. Currently, I am a professional accordion player with over 10 years of experience. For a few summers I took lessons on how to repair and maintain accordions. I've performed with many bands, orchestras, and even high school pit musicians.
I simply require an electrical outlet. I can perform without it but with reduced level of volume. My equipment includes my digital accordion, amp, stands, cables, and even a canopy if the weather requires it.
I tend to make the set list up either right before or on the spot depending on the event. For example, when I play Italian events I tend to throw in a variety of classical Italian pieces around a variety of other tunes so as to not have a single type of music played.
This allows for a wide variety of songs to be performed so that something can catch everyone's attention.
My influences include such a variety. Some off the type of my head include Frank Sinatra, Journey, Weird Al, Bach, John Denver, Jim Henson, Van Halen, Koji Kondo, just to name a few. I play music from each of these and multiple more.
