Professional, unique, original, & captivating...this is the phrase that best describes ABANA. Further, ABANA is a musically creative and diverse Gospel/Jazz ensemble whose veteran members are highly experienced in both concert stage and recording studio environments. Several of its members also have individual solo music releases to their credits as well.
ABANA performs at a myriad of venue types, which may be viewed on the GigSalad.com site as well as viewed on the band's website. Its unique repertoire consists of updated/modernized hymns as well as original Gospel/Jazz and Modern Jazz compositions.
The band contains several composers and lyricists whose compositions are engaging spiritually and emotionally. Likewise, a number of ABANA's members have performed live or in studio with a number of household "Who's Who" musical performers.
In 2011, Dr. Kenneth Love (ABANA's Founder & Musical Director) released a solo project titled "cAsE sEnSiTiVe" that enjoyed worldwide radio airplay and press coverage. On the compact disc release, Dr. Love featured his own arrangement of the age-old hymn, titled "What A Friend," that was well received by both Gospel and Jazz listeners alike. This reception led to Dr. Love's forming
of ABANA in the effort of featuring more uniquely arranged and modernized Gospel hymns via a Jazz repertoire and setting.
Please visit the ABANA website to review more details and learn more, as well as listen to several compelling musical compositions from this exciting ensemble of long-term musical veterans.
NOTE: Please note that ABANA also has its own public relations firm.
