Response from AA Team:
Thank you Carrie! I’m glad the Latin/Cuban jazz quartet was so well received! It was a real pleasure to perform for your event! Mount Laurel Country Club was a wonderful venue as well. We’ll gladly perform at any of your future corporate or personal events. Thanks again!

The AA Team duo has the excitement of a latin "Buena Vista Social Club" style, but with the ability to tone it down for cocktail and more intimate settings. As well as hearing latin and jazz standards, they often change it up with a latin or jazz twist to a modern pop/rock song like Dust in the Wind, Time after Time, Fragile and Just the Two of Us. Whether it's a backyard party or elegant wedding, AA Team always comes dressed for the occasion from all white cuban guayaberas to colorful African attire to tuxedo and formal dress. As a piano small hand percussion duo, we don't require much amplification unless I need to use my electric keyboard and fit into smaller spaces as well. Although we're small, we create great energy and professionalism.
Master percussionist, Anthony Carrillo and seasoned pianist, Amy Quint Millan have
combined their extensive experience and diverse talents to create the AA Team; a latin
jazz ensemble loaded with powerful musical chemistry. The latest fruits of their work
include two jazz original releases with more work in production.
Piano legend Eddie Palmieri has referred to Mr. Carrillo as “the best bongocero in the
universe.” Born in New York of proud Puerto Rican heritage, Anthony Carrillo is
well-known for his performances with the famous artist and childhood friend, Giovanni
Hidalgo. Other artists he has performed and recorded with include Gonzalo Rubalcaba,
Paul Simon, Harry Belafonte and Mickey Hart. He was an integral member of the outstanding Puerto
Rican percussion based ensemble, Batacumbele and, in contrast, the Puerto Rican
metal band, PUYA. Under his own name Anthony Carrillo has released 3 CD’s featuring
the historic first ever recordings of rumba from Puerto Rico.
Hailing from Michigan, Amy Quint-Millan came to be known for her ability to swing a
jazz standard as well as lay down a hard driving latin “montuno”. Ms. Quint-Millan has
graced the stage with renowned salseros such as Cuco Valoy, Jimmy Sabater, Ray de
la Paz, Giro, Anthony Cruz and Candido Camero. She went on to become part of
“Johnny Almendra and Los Jovenes del Barrio” and “Jimmy Sabater, Jr y su Orquesta”
before meeting and collaborating extensively with master percussionist Anthony Carrillo
in creating the ground breaking salsa/rock/rap fusion band YÁMBAWA and the latin jazz
ensemble AA Team.
I can use an acoustic piano on site or provide my own electric piano and amplifier which will need a power supply. The hand percussion usually doesn't need amplification unless in large rooms or stages in which case amplification would need to be provided. Space wise we only need about 8 square feet.
