Please be aware that because of our business relationship, we will have to follow all those rules, regulations, mandates and orders concerning COVID-19. Santa, grandparents and some family and friends are elderly and we do not want to infect them or the little ones. If we are preveinted from meeting by government actions, we will just reschedule for a mutually agreable date and time when we can meet after the government actions.

At a home or private event Santa John will listen to Christmas wishes, pose for pictures and videos, read a story, listen to carols, hand out gifts and sit for a quick snack.

At at a corporate, or all-employee event, welcoming the Guests is probably one of the best ways to use Santa. He can be at the entrance to your event, just past your registration or check-in table. He can officially welcome everyone to the party and invite them to have a picture taken at that time. This is the best time to take photos of the employees and guests as everyone is arriving and looking their best Have a sturdy chair for Santa to sit in. Santa usually likes a chair that is sturdy and stable. A good straight-back dining chair, with no arms, works well. Place the Chair near your Christmas tree or in a holiday setting. Your photos will have more impact when the background has a festive look. Place a wreath, a few Christmas cards or your children’s drawings on the wall to make a wonderful difference. Allow room for others to gather around and behind Santa’s chair for group photos. Fireplaces do look nice. Santa can mingle and visit tables, after all of the guests arrive and if there is any time left for the period you have booked him. He generally goes from table to table to say hello and to pose for group photos, etc.

Santa John has Santa scrubs which are for visiting those on the Good List that have to be in special care facilities requiring clean/sterile clothing. He also can make visits to hospitals and nursing homes.

Gigs can be as short as 15 minuts and may go as long as several hours depending on the type of event.

About 20 years ago, I a joined the local chapter of a fraternal organization. The Immediate Past President, John M came up to me and said, "You should be a Santa!" I had dark hair and no beard at the time and I told John get out of here, me a Santa No way. John M and his wife move from Warren to Campbell to take care of his mother-in-law. Over the years, my third daughter was sprinkled with the music gene, and become a certified liturgical organist. This daughter, at only 17, gets the job as organist and choir director at the parish in Campbell. Since this daughter does not drive my wife drives her one week and I take her the following week. Guess who is in church, John M. No hi John great to see you. John M says, "You should be a Santa!" I say, get out of here, me a Santa No way. Every other week John encourages me to be a Santa. Finally I give in and say we will talk next time I am here in Campbell. The next Sunday my wife come home from the church in Campbell and tells me John M is excited to talk to you. I tell her I know all about it John M want me to be a Santa. The next weekend I drive my daughter to the church in Campbell. People in the pews and the pastor from the pulpit announce that John M died last Monday. What do I do now? I found the Buckeye Santas and went to a meeting. What a happy jolly group of great guys and gals. Who would not want to become a Santa! I learned more and become a member of International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas and Heart of Ohio Santas. I have attended the International University of Santa Claus (School4Santa) in Columbus, Ohio, August 13, 2017, where I earned my Bachelor of Santa Claus and took the Santa Clause Oath. I also went to the St. Nicholas Institute Retreat & Seminar at St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center, Detroit, Michigan: October 1-4, 2018. Last year I started as St. Nicholas visiting preschools and kindergartens and as Santa elementary schools and private homes. Last year 2018, I have been the Santa for the Brecksville, Ohio Community Theater Children’s production of Elf Jr, Petitti Garden Centers and other businesses and families. October 2019, I attend the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School in Midland, Michigan.

For Home visits:
Have your cameras ready
Reserve a special parking place for Santa.
A host should meet Santa when he arrives: to assist him; to show him where to park; to help load any presents into his special “Santa” bag; and to escort him to the location of the event. If there is a balance or payment due to Santa, place it inside a Christmas card or envelope. Never give Santa money in front of the Children. It can ruin the magic of the moment. The host or coordinator meeting Santa outside should take care of any final payments that are due, before Santa enters.
Have your gifts ready
Get everyone together, before Santa enters
Have a sturdy chair for Santa to sit in
Place the Chair near your Christmas tree or in a holiday setting
Think about photos with everyone.

For home or private visits performer(s) will arrive within a +/- 30-minute window of scheduled time
due to traffic or other unforeseeable circumstances. A break of ten minutes after each full
hour of work is appropriate. A little cool water is always welcome. Gratuities not included.

Bookings of 30 minutes or less are limited to Private single-family home visits. All other Corporate or private residence, in-home, parties are a minimum one-hour. Special events are a minimum two-hour booking. Exceptions are at the discretion of A Jolly Santa. For Special Events, performers will arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to appearance unless otherwise stipulated above in this agreement. Requests to arrive more than 15 minutes, for walk-thru or rehearsals, will be billed at 50% of the applicable rate. All rates quoted above include mileage. All costumes are standard Holiday Dress. Special entertainer or costume requests are at the client's cost, and should be made in advance to A Jolly Santa.  A Jolly Santa reserves the right to substitute performers of equal type and value at any time.  Due to the nature of our performer’s traditional outfits, it is necessary that they have periodic breaks and that their performance location be cool and comfortable, we recommend 65 -70 degrees. A break of ten minutes after each full hour of work is requested, and in no instance, shall any performer be required to work longer than 90 (ninety) minutes without a break. If indoors or outdoors in a warm environment, client will supply a fan for the performer and appropriate breaks will be necessary as per health and safety regulations. It is assumed that all events will be indoors, or that arrangements have been made if event is held outdoors, and therefore cancellations due to inclement weather are not accepted. Should any activities at the event venue, create a volatile, or harmful situation that may endanger the talent; or be of a nature unbecoming or negative to traditional Christmas/Holiday activities; or if there is any presence of illegal substances or activities; A Jolly Santa and/or Talent has full rights to immediately terminate appearance and leave or remove his person from the venue. Furthermore, the client will still be liable for the full value of the contract. All photos taken of our performers, whether by individuals or professional photographers, are assumed to be for private or personal use of the client/s and their guests and may not be used for commercial or promotion use without written permission of the performer and A Jolly Santa.
