My main influence is Go-Go music. A Washington DC genre of music started back in the 1970s by the late Chuck Brown. It is a very percussion-driven sound with drums, congas, and rototoms. Within Go-Go music, I have patterned my style to great drummers like Footz from Rare Essence (passed away in 1994), Heavy One from Junkyard Band (passed away 1992), and Jammin' Jeff from Northeast Groovers and other bands.
I have also played gospel music for a church. I am open to playing R&B, pop, and rock & roll.

I am an intermediate level drummer. I am currently taking lessons to continue to hone my craft. I have been playing off and on for fun for over 25 years. However, I would like to join a band to gain experience playing with other musicians.
