I hired Pure Samba Entertainment to perform at my 60th birthday party. The girls were so professional and made everything easy and seamless! The way they flanked me as I entered doing their dance and then pose on the side of me as I gave a speech looked so choreographed, even though we had never practiced! I would highly recommend!

Expect an amazing show full of energy with Pure Samba. We had 3 Samba Dancers and 3 Drummers perform at our annual corporate event and they were the highlight of the evening. From the very start Lisa, the Director, was an absolute delight to work and communicate with. Pure Samba is extremely talented and a top notch team. I had hired Pure Samba (2 samba dancers) for my engagement party as a surprise for my Brazilian husband. They really wowed us and our guests so much that we knew we had to have hired them again for our wedding. They bring so much life and energy and excitement to any event and they're always the talk of the party. We're so happy to have hired Pure Samba. Whether it be a beautiful solo samba dancer, or an authentic group of Passistas (samba dancers) accompanied by live Brazilian drummers and the acrobatics of Capoeira - we'll make your celebration vibrantly memorable! We also specialize in Cuban, Latin, African, and Roaring 20s.
Transport your guests to the vibrant streets of Brazil. Ignite your party atmosphere with our energetic dancers, dressed in vivid, feathered costumes, and dazzling headdresses. As the beats of pulsating drums fill the air, watch as our performers mesmerize your guests with their electrifying moves and contagious enthusiasm. And if you're feeling adventurous, we can even teach your guests a few samba steps to get the party started!
About
Pure Samba was founded by our dynamic Creative Director, Lisa Ferreira. Lisa is a well rounded entertainment professional who has an extensive dance background which includes over 16 years of training and stage experience in authentic Brazilian samba, Afro-Brazilian, Axe, ballet, modern, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Haitan, African dance and contemporary dance. She has studied with world renowned Master teachers; Rosengela Silvestre, Egili Oliveira, Alex Coutinho, Baba Richard Gonzalez and Ronald K. Brown of Evidence Dance. A New York native, as a teen she spent her Summers studying with the New York City Ballet and received a full scholarship to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. Lisa has performed as a dancer with Jennifer Hudson for “Black Girls Rock” on BET, Choreographed and performed on “The Nightly Show with Larry Whilmore” on Comedy Central, and appeared in the pilot of sketch comedy “Black & White” on A&E Network. Lisa choreographed, danced and acted in the pilot “Failing with Grace”, created by Grace Edwards of "Insecure" fame. Lisa has performed abroad in Tokyo, Japan, Guam, and was chosen to grace an international GAP ad campaign as a contemporary dancer. Lisa created and collaborated on a commercial spot for Hershey’s Kisses featuring the Pure Samba Samba Sisters (as seen on our home page). She has performed in a Target commercial featuring Beyonce, and has choreographed and performed for New York Fashion Week Mens and New York Fashion Week.
Lisa is also a successful working actor and proud member of SAG-AFTRA. You might have seen some of her work in lead roles on “New Amsterdam” on NBC, “Manifest” on NBC/Netflix, and “Elementary” on CBS. (Get ready to book, Lisa performs on the majority of Pure Samba shows. You can boast and say… I knew her when ;-). Stay tuned.
Lisa holds a B.S. in Finance and is a Wall Street alumni. Pure Samba was created as a dedication and tribute to her beloved parents.
