It’s about music, it’s about joy, it’s about energy that’s easy on the ears and a celebration that happens when Vintage Highways Band cranks it up. It’s also about a catalog of songs that will likely rank as vintage-fine quality and memory to a wide range of listeners, whether that song was released this year or earlier (check out the “Demos” tab on the home page). Sure, you’re likely to hear golden gems from Bad Company & Tom Petty but figure in some hot contemporaries like Dave Matthews Maroon 5 and you’re now rockin’ down the Vintage Highways. It’s also about versatility and appreciation for any venue that a band like this delivers.
This band was a fabulous addition to our event. Their song list was great, and all the musicians were very good at their craft. Our group couldn't say enough good things about how these guys performed. Will definitely hire them again if we get the chance! You won't go wrong with these guys!
We had Vintage Highways play for an outdoor event at Bradford Apartments. They were great! All of the residents loved them and want us to bring them back to play regularly! I wish we could have them every week but we will look at bringing Vintage Highways back to perform this fall. They were extremely professional and great musicians! I only have great things to say about this band!
Response from Vintage Highways Band:
Thanks Melissa,
The band had a great time performing!
We hired Vintage Highways for our corporate pig pickin' and they did an excellent job. They knew lots of cover songs and even took requests from our guest. They showed up on time and brought everything they needed to set up. They were very professional and engaged with the crowd. I will definitely hire them for future events!
Response from Vintage Highways Band:
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We look forward to being part of future events!
I have seen Vintage several times and they have been great every time! They play nice range of music (new stuff and old stuff). Highly recommend attending one of their gigs.
I've heard them as a full band at Saints & Scholars, and as an acoustic duo at Sola Coffee Cafe and Poppyseed Market. They're always great and cover current and slightly older pop/rock. Always excellent!
Vintage Highways Band is a tight band with excellent musicians, distinctive lead vocals, and great vocal harmonies. One of the things that most impressed me was the surprising diversity of their set list. They sound great on older tunes - they absolutely rock Free's "Alright Now", Eagles or Zeppelin tunes, and then they seamlessly mix in a Dave Matthews or Pink tune. That diversity - that unexpected element of "What will they play next?" - makes for a great evening of music. You should definitely check them out if you get a chance. You'll have as much fun as they have when they're playing.
Very talented musicians who seem like they cover A to Z. Good for younger crowds (as I'm in my 20's) and older crowds. Would love to see them in downtown Raleigh!

Vintage Highways Band has a dynamic list of songs from the 70's to today. We can create a custom set list based on your particular needs and venue. Whether it is a two piece acoustic show or a full band gig for dancing the night away, Vintage Highways Band can make your event a great success!
Brought together by the musical passions and talents of Stan Jones and Palma Sharp, the group jelled around this seasoned guitarist/vocalist and versatile songstress who filled out a set list with music based on great melodies, riffs and lyrics — songs that sounded good even stripped down to a six-string and light percussion with killer harmonies. Stan and Palma devoted themselves to producing tunes they loved on their own, then delivering that essence in performance so a listener could appreciate and enjoy the result whether performed acoustically or full-on.
In short, the band is built around great music, not needless noise or empty show, and the players demonstrate a respect and enjoyment for these tunes from the first note forward. The set list is also designed to bring an audience into a fun and high-spirited experience, whether a listener wants to chill or mingle with this music as the soundtrack for an evening, or tear up the dance floor, or both!
We provide our own sound system & lighting.
