The Tommy Wade Orchestra has been in business for four years. We play at the Aladdin Shrine Center here in columbus every two months for six to eight hundred dancers and listeners. I play solo Trumpet covering several Maynard Ferguson and Doc Severinsen charts along with many of the standards played by just about everyone. My musicians are all seasoned pros and know how to make you warm and fuzzy. Carl Wyatt and Heidi Turner are my vocalists. There are none better!

Influences

I am a big band musician! I have followed Maynard Ferguson, Doc Severinsen, Arturo Sandoval and still try to cover some of their material. Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Woody Herman, The Tonight show band, and locally the Famous Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Arts Group. I have a lot of history with Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and many others as well.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 180 - 240 minutes

That our music was good for dancing or listening. I feature either a vocalist or and instrumentalist on just about every piece of music played. I have great Jazz players who perform very well on featured pieces. Great comments every time we play.

Additional Notes:
We have our own sound, stands, and lighting. We do not bring chairs. Just give us chairs and a place to plug in several electronic devices and we are good to go.

Set/Song/Sequence List:
My library is over 10,000 charts which makes us very flexible for the different venues. We can play a dance, Jazz Concert, weddings, dinner music, and a combination of any of those. I will be happy to discuss the play list with you.
