Tommy Burnevik has over 30 years of performing experience.

At the age of 18, he was jamming at the local Minneapolis blues clubs. He would show up, jump on stage and wail on his sax. Tommy was quickly recognized as a soulful blues player with a unique raunchy style.

He joined The Lamont Cranston Band and recorded several projects with them including the first album featuring Tommy's sax playing on great tunes like "Aint nobody here but us chickens". In the course of playing with Lamont Cranston, he had many musical adventures, one of which was a trip to Chicago where he played with Blues greats including Koko Taylor, Sunnyland Slim and Howlin Wolfs Band to name a few.

After 4 years with Lamont Cranston, he formed his own 9 piece swing blues band called "The Bees Knees". His vocal style and honkin & screamin tenor sax was sure to get you off your seat and on your feet. Recognized as one of Minnesota's top ten bands, Tommy Burnevik and The Bees Knees was a guaranteed good time.

Tommy then joined the 80's rock band The Suburbs. With deep roots in the Blues, his sax playing on tracks like "Love is the law" added a cool twist to an awesome edgy rock band.

Now, going solo as a One Man Band, Tommy still rocks the house!

He has performed and/or recorded with many groups including: Howlin Wolf Band, Prodigy, Dean Magraw, Flaming O's, Hot Rod, Lamont Cranston, Joel Johnson, Elvin Bishop, Asleep At The Wheel, The Pistons, The Bees Knees, The Hoop Snakes, Dan Aykroyd, Kim Wilson, Lynwood Slim, The Suburbs, Soul Asylum, Johnny Lang and more.
