Tribute act for Buddy Holly, featuring Buddy's hits along with some other great rock and roll tunes from the 1950's. The concert features a four piece band of Todd Meredith as Buddy Holly on lead guitar with his three Crickets on upright bass, drums, and rhythm guitar. We can also bring along portrayers of Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper, and recreate the famous Winter Dance Party, the last tour of these prolific artists.

I never really considered myself a Buddy Holly fan or not as one. I saw bits and pieces of the movie that starred Gary Busey; however, after seeing Todd perform as Buddy, I cannot get enough of Buddy Holly's music and life story. I saw the show on April 18th, and I've been watching documentaries and listening to his music on YouTube every day since. In fact, all I want for my birthday on May 12th is a c.d. of Buddy's music. That's all. That's how Todd's performance impacted me!
I hope that someday Todd Meredith becomes a "household word."

I thought the move in the 70's was good, but you really had a handle on the temprament of Buddy Holly. He was a live wire, and you were great. Hope to see the show again.

Todd has been portraying Buddy Holly for the past four years in tribute concerts across the nation and in productions of the hit musical BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY. An actor/musician originally from Albany, NY, he now resides in New York City. His most recent tribute concert took place last year at the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven, NJ, where he thrilled sold out crowds and received a standing ovation after each performance. Upon completing his highly successful eighth run of Buddy the musical at the El Dorado Casino in Reno, breaking box office records at said venue, Todd and his band are back on the east coast and ready to bring the innocent joy of Buddy's music to your party or function. Unlike other tribute bands of the same nature, all members of Todd's band (including Todd) are in their early to mid twenties, giving the performance a youthful energy and exuberance that cannot be matched. Yet, those that have witnessed them perform have experienced a high level of professionalism and musicianship that goes far beyond their years. They are also incredibly friendly, easy going, and great to work with.

Todd had released two Buddy Holly tribute cd's. The first, entitled Not Fade Away, included six updated Buddy Holly covers and six original songs written by Todd and fellow Buddy impersonator, Anthony Rand, that pay homage to Buddy. Over 2,000 copies of this cd have already been sold after shows and gigs. His most recent effort released this year is entitled Rock, Rhythm, and Blues, and contains 15 of Todd's favorite Buddy Holly songs that stay very true to the original recordings. Todd Meredith's Buddy Tribute often plays shows on a double billing with fellow tribute band, The Prefab Four, who performs an audience interactive, request Beatles concert. What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 180 minutes
Audience members will receive a high energy rock show from very talented musicians. Performance time varies but for most gigs, two sets are played at an hour a piece. When coupled with prefab 4, the audience gets about an hour of Buddy Holly music, an intermission, and then a two hour Beatles request show. The show is always a crowd favorite and appeals to the entire family. We have played a variety of venues from theaters, to bars, to outdoor festivals, to churches, and even retirement homes. You name the venue and we will make the show work for you. All you have to do is be sure to bring your dancing shoes.
Additional Notes:
Tech rider can be provided upon request. Todd's band will perform anywhere, no matter what the stage and lighting of your venue permits. Musicians provide their own amps and instruments at no extra charge. If the event planner can provide us with microphones, P.A. system, and monitors that would be preferable, but is not necessary. We can provide these services for a nominal extra fee.
