Why hire Thunderchild?
We're a Christian hard rock band devoted to sharing God's Grace thru r music. We're Christ centered ministry minded & evangelistic. We've been together since 86' & r very talented & anointed. We play original material & some cover music. We own a large P.A. & generator for outdoor events. We r skilled with the Word of God & regularly teach and preach a finished Christ centered work as the opportunity is presented. We r in our 40's so no spring chickens here. We all play professional gear and can play large to small events in various venues from nightclubs to churches but we r a loud rock band that puts out a lot of energy. Would love to be part of lifting up Christ at your event.
About
Thunderchild was formed in 1986 by guitarists Tony Larussa & Fred Garza. Finishing the rhythem section is Barry Zeller/drums & Brian Larussa/bass. Thunderchild has performed with many national acts through out the southern United States, performing in every type of venue both indoor & outdoor. Their style of music is Classic Power Metal with a Progressive Melodic Edge & contains a Christ centered message of Grace, Salvation, Hope and Encouragement.Thunderchild's committment to excellence toward their music & their expressive transparent faith has given them the ability to reach a culture with the message of Christ in a non-condemning way with many receiving Christ through their ministry.

Influences
Grand Funk to all things hard rock and metal. Style wise Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater & Queensryche. The groups we respect the most are bands like Petra and Bloodgood and Rez Band.Those groups came out of or were influenced by the Jesus movement of the late 60's and 70's. Men like Keith Green who, although he wasn't hard rock, proclaimed The Rock of Ages with the passion & conviction of a guy who played it! Our music is intertwined with the Spirit and heart of our Savior. We r a group of guys who love the louder & heavier stuff because that is what we listened to in our adolecent years & that is what moved us. We have given our talents to Christ so that He can be glorified!
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 120 minutes
They will hear a group of very passionate, talented & professional musicians exalting Christ at a Thunderchild Concert. Thunderchild is dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with their audience. Thunderchild is dedicated to making sure that the audience walks away with something more than they came in with, a brighter outlook on life, a fresh viewpoint toward God and a greater awareness of just how much God loves them.They will definitly experience the passion and power of what Metal Music sounds like when it is played with passion, precision and excellence. They will leave humming the melodies of what they heard and walk away with a smile on their face and look forward to the next time Thunderchild performs. Ultimatley our hope is that they experience a personal encounter with the risen Christ. By God's grace, Thunderchild has had the privelege of leading many to Christ at their concerts.Many experience a life transformation at their concerts not because of Thunderchilds music but because of the Spirit that directs and emanates from their ministry. Stage/Setup Requirements:
Non alchoholic beverages and ice
PA - sound tech - lighting - electricity - stage hands/roadies
private dressing room - merchandise areas for t-shirts & CD sales
Additional Notes:
We do require lighting at the gig. If we bring our P.A. we still need a soud tech to run the board for long distance travel performances. If we bring our P.A. we will need access to plenty of electricity so a 200 amp service would be ample for our needs.
