Why hire Thomas John's Childrens Show for Grown-ups?

Thomas John is the creator of Juggling Americana. A blend of humor, skill, and wit that will leave you laughing and wondering if that was meant for adults, or the kids. It begins with a impressive show of skill with classic three ball tricks as well as some quick comedy. He then moves onto some very impressive five ball juggling . The show then takes a turn a with Thomas' glockenspiel routine. A failed audition attempt for Juliard, Thomas plays a few tunes using only the glockenspiel, a ping-pong ball, and his mouth,an modern reinterpretation of an ancient Chinese art,and a partner finale involving machetes, misconceptions, and machismo.

Concert VenueOur family is just back from a show Thomas John did at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes. He was brilliant. Talented, funny, sweet and leaves you wanting more. I stumbled on this site searching for where else we could see him without waiting until he returns next year.

Private PartyGreat sense of humor - witty but not overbearing or cliche. Connects very well with the audience.

Overview

About

Thomas John started juggling at a young age and quickly found his passion. Passion soon led to compulsion and Thomas began performing soon after he learned to juggle. He floundered through many shows while honing his craft and also attending a liberal arts college. Somewhere in the jumble of things Thomas was also a visual artist. After two years struggling to find himself, Thomas made the leap and moved to San Francisco to attend the Clown Conservatory. Before starting his training at the Clown Conservatory, Thomas spent one year street performing. He had a trial by fire, doing thousands of successful and un-successful shows for many diverse audiences. After training for two years at the Clown Conservatory Thomas solidified his identity as a performer, incorporating the wit he appreciated at his liberal arts college, his visual arts background, and his new found passion for the circus. After more than fifteen years creating visual arts, five years studying literature, and a few years juggling Thomas finally started his career as a performer. Since he began creating work in 2004 Thomas has performed all over the country: street performing, in fairs and festivals, and corporate events. Thomas regularly performs his 30 minute solo show at Pier 39 in the Fisherman’s Wharf of San Francisco.
