The UltraViolets -- Introduction

Since August 1996, The UltraViolets have entertained many audiences -- both first-time and repeat -- including several re-bookings by Marshall Faulk's Foundation, The St. Louis Cardinals, KTRS AM 550, KMOX AM 1120, Kaplan, Washington University, Saint Louis University and Grant's Farm.

Founded by Lead Singer, Linda Gaal, The UltraViolets play all styles of music from Motown, disco, funk, country and classic rock to 80s dance, modern-day rock, hip hop and current Billboard Charts pop favorites. The UltraViolets' song list contains a wide variety of music, including classics by Michael Jackson, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Shania Twain, AC/DC, Madonna and new music by Adele, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Carly Rae Jepsen, Gotye, Fun, Maroon 5, Karmin, LMFAO and Rihanna. The UltraViolets learn the most top Billboard pop and radio hits of today before any other St. Louis cover band!

All songs are sung by Lead Singer, Linda Gaal (except Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond). Linda has the remarkable ability to sound like most of the artists she covers. Her range is exceptional and complimented by many.

Booking The UltraViolets

The UltraViolets are a St. Louis wedding band and party band that plays over 100 shows per year, including annual local performances at the St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day celebrations outside of Busch Stadium and many St. Louis wedding receptions, clubs, parties and events. The UltraViolets play events, clubs and weddings in cities all over Missouri and Illinois and have traveled as far as New York !The UltraViolets specializes in providing a variety of fun live music. The band can create a customized atmosphere for your wedding reception, party or special event at an affordable price. We can play an all-disco show, all-'80s show, all-rock show, all NEW MUSIC show for younger crowds, or our standard variety show with music appealing to people of all ages. We can dress the part with costumes, formal wear or other specially-requested attire. The UltraViolets has the experience to create a memorable performance that will be the showcase of your next event.

Your customizable engagement with The UltraViolets can be a one to four hour party. The band plays one, two or three sets of non-stop, high-energy dance hits from the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s and the '10s, too. About the Band

Lead vocalist Linda Gaal, founder of The UltraViolets in 1996, has the amazing ability to sing all styles of music, closely emulating the original artist. Linda also sang backup for St. Louis band "Radio Iodine" in 1997. Linda founded and sang in two other local St. Louis bands: "The Linda Gaal Band" (original music) and "SQuiNT" (cover band, alternative rock and variety).

Playing keyboards for The UltraViolets is John Holt. John is one of the most versatile keyboard players among the St. Louis cover band scene, playing all songs live with no pre-recorded tracks. John can also play any song for you from a book of standards for your cocktail or dinner hours. John comes from a popular original band to come out of St. Louis called "The Sun Sawed in Half".

Chris Springer is an amazing electric and synth bass player who has played in jazz bands to pop and rock bands all around St. Louis, including with our friends in the popular local cover band "My Friend Mike".

Rob Amaro is an energetic St. Louis drummer whose beats keep people dancing all night long. Rob has played in many local St. Louis wedding bands and party bands including "Mr. Wizard" and "Plastic". Rob plays multiple instruments and is also a successful local musical teacher.

Lead guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Scott Jones is a St. Louis-based Progressive Arts recording artist. Scott has been a full-time professional guitarist, composer and arranger for 30 years.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 240 minutes

Additional Notes:
6 to 7 meals and drinks required for the band.
Adequate lighting for the dance floor needs to be supplied by the client or venue.
Band provides some stage lighting for the band, if budget allows.
Adequate setup area must be provided by the venue or client.
For safety reasons, no one is permitted on the stage unless approved or invited by the band.
