About Sean West:
Born and raised in South Carolina Sean moved to Ohio in 1993 to attend OSU. In college he started singing in karaoke bars and joined his first band. Throughout the 1990's Sean played the club circut throughout Ohio and the midwest in addition to releasing two solo CD. Sean began performing a tribute to Kenny Chesney in 2006. Soon the "Poets & Pirates" were born. Bringing together members from Seans' previous bands and touring members from two nationally recognised acts, Sean and "The Poets & Pirates" have quickly become the Nations #1 Touring Kenny Chesney Tribute Band.

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 45 - 150 minutes
Recreating the high energy country-rocking concert experiance of an actual Kenny Chesney Show!

*ARTIST IS AWARE THAT VENUE LIMITATIONS MAY PREVENT PURCHASER FROM FULFILLING All TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THIS RIDER. REASONABLE SUBSTITUTIONS/CHANGES ARE ACCEPTABLE WITH PRIOR APPROVAL FROM ARTIST’S PRODUCTION MANAGER.
1. Stage: The Purchaser will provide a stage area of at least 24 feet in width, 16 feet in depth and 2 feet in height. The stage must be level and stable. A drum riser is also preferred. If supplied, drum riser must be have dimensions of at least 8’/ 8’/1’ with a 5’ head clearance. The stage is for exclusive use by the artist. All outdoor events shall have a covered stage to protect band, and equipment.
2. Sound & Lighting requirements (minimum requirements for most venues)
(for shows with CLIENT supplied sound & lighting ONLY)
1. (1) main mixing board (Soundcraft, Yamaha, etc.), at least (24) input channels
2. (6) separate monitor mixes
a. (3) front mixes each consisting of (1) wedge with 15”/horn speaker configuration
b. (1) drum monitor with 15”/horn speaker configuration capable of handling drums
c. (2) side mixes for bass and keys mixes each consisting of (1) wedge with 15”/horn speaker configuration
d. each monitor mix will have EQ with minimum of (15) bands
3. At least (1) reverb effects processor
4. (12) microphones
a. (1) AKG D112 – kick drum
b. (6) Shure SM57’s – snare, toms, guitars
c. (1) condenser (if unavailable Shure SM-57 may substitute) - hi-hat
d. (5) Shure SM-58 or EV ND Series - vocals
e. microphone mounting hardware or full boom stands for each drum microphone
f. (6) boom stands for vocal mics
g. (1) Shure (or better) wireless handheld mic
5. (4) direct boxes
6. At least (8) par 56 lights with appropriate stands and controllers
7. Competent sound/lighting engineer – must be present for entire show
*Sound system must reach (115) db cleanly with no distortion at Front Of House.
3. Power: The purchaser must provide adequate electrical service as stated below.
OPTION A: 100 amp three-phase service at 120 volts per leg with neutral and ground. One of the following connections is needed. A service disconnect box with lugs for connection. A breaker in an electrical sub-panel or Cam-Lock connectors.
A qualified electrician must be available at the venue when option A is required.
OPTION B: A minimum of five (5) 20 amp wall outlets. The electrical service must terminate within 25 feet of stage. All power shall be reserved for sole use by the artist.
4. Accesses, Load-in and Setup Time:
The purchaser shall allow 3 hours for unloading equipment, setup and sound check.
Purchaser must provide free and clear access [no stairs] for loading and unloading equipment. If a load-in has stairs, an elevator must be available or the purchaser must provide extra personnel (at no cost to artist) to assist in loading and unloading. It is imperative that loading and backstage areas be cleared of all vehicles and equipment prior to load-in and load-out.
5. Parking/Transportation:
The purchaser is to provide reserved parking for up to six vehicles, as close as possible to the loading location.
For show’s scheduled as “fly-out”, Purchaser agrees to provide: transportation to and from airport, venue, and hotel for each day of event. Backline Equipment as per attached addendum. Round trip air travel as per attached document.
6. Dressing Room:
The purchaser shall provide a private and secure dressing room or changing area suitable for 8 people, with adequate lighting and mirrors. Authorized personnel ONLY in the following areas:
a. backstage entrances
b. dressing rooms
c. ARTIST equipment and vehicles
d. Stage
7. Hospitality:
The Purchaser shall provide- in Dressing Room- Prior to sound check:
Diet and Regular Cola ( Coke or Pepsi )
5 Bottles of Gatorade
One Case Bottled Water-Room Temperature
5 Hand Towels (for stage use).
(A backstage deli tray and veggie platter is also appreciated.)
For each show date Purchaser shall provide: One Hot Healthy Meal for Artist and Crew
(no fast food), OR Diner Buy-Out of $20 per person (8 people), per day Preferred.
8. Accommodations:
For shows 100 miles or more from Cincinnati, Oh. or Consecutive dates Purchaser shall provide: Five (5) rooms for each day in a Three star hotel i.e.: Holiday Inn, Ramada, etc., Rooms are to be reserved in advance and permit for early/late check-in upon arrival.
