Wedding ReceptionThe Colgan-Hirsh Band is amazing. We hired them for my 10.20.12 wedding and it took me forever to find a band that I really liked. I emailed with him back and forth for sample songs and a sample of the female singer and they were right on it. I can honestly say, this band was the best part of my wedding by far. Every time I looked around the dance floor it was always growded. I have been to many weddings were half the people are dancing and the other half are sitting down, not with them, they played songs for all ages. Everyone was up on their feet and having a blast with this band. We loved them so much we even asked them to stay and play longer. I can remember a couple of times I needed to go get a drink and I was having to much fun with everyone dancing that I didn't want to walk away from the dance floor. Not only did they sound amazing but everyone loved the song selection, I have recieved many, many compliments on their performance. I have nothing but great and amazing things to say about this band, I would recommend them over and over again. Thank you Colgan-Hirsh for an amazing time! This will be a day I will never forget :)

FundraiserYou'll love this band, whether booking them for your next party or out on the dance floor. They're highly polished musicians who have the knack for putting together the perfect playlist for the venue. They're true professionals who're a joy to work with, too. We've booked them for the past ten years at our annual Masquerade Party in Gettysburg. Our crowd, from young professionals to seasoned citizens, always raves about CHB! And that's why we keep bringing them back.

Overview

About

The Colgan-Hirsh Band was formed in 2003, and is based in central PA and northern Maryland. They perform throughout a wide area, including York, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Gettysburg, and Pittsburgh PA, Baltimore, Westminster, Annapolis, Glen Burnie, and Chesapeake Beach MD, Alexandria, VA, and even Cape Cod, MA.
Keyboardist and guitarist Pat Colgan and drummer Mike Hirsh lead the band, with Dan Vogel on Lead Guitar, Brian Frazier on Bass, Female Vocalist Jackie Klunk, Sax players Chris Poole and Dave Shultz, and Bill School on Trumpet.
All musicians in the band are veteran performers and professional musicians, including five music teachers and two professional audio recording engineers. Four lead vocalists allow the band to cover a wide range of repertoire, as well as full harmony in the vocal arrangements. The horn section has three players who are all fine soloists on their respective instruments. Dan Vogel, a recent transplant from Austin Texas, is a brilliant lead guitar artist.
Over their 7 year history, the band has played many different venues for many kinds of events, such as weddings, formal balls, wine festivals, company parties, fund raising events, grand openings, fairs and carnivals, music camps, public events, holiday parties, class reunions, church dances, and private parties.
The band's repertoire is tailored to create a party atmosphere, and includes great music for dancing in a variety of styles, including Classic Rock, R & B, Funk, Motown, Oldies, and Top 40. The horn section gives an authentic punch to many styles, and allows the band when needed to reach into the 40's and 50's for the great swing music and ballads from those eras as well.
