Definitely a rising star, TLC is her stage name, she jokes that Tari Lynn Crompton Briggs sounds like a Memorial Hospital, so she goes by TLC, as they were her initials long before The Learning Channel and that music group thought of using them, plus it's easy to remember... TLC.
Clean Comedy or Night Club Comedy ... her style is absolutely unique, memorable, smart, laugh out loud humor, with excellent natural comedic timing, AND priceless material. If you like to laugh you will love TLC. This is your chance to catch a rising star! She EVEN does coma jokes adds her twist to everyday observations all from her personal life. Tari performs her stand-up for Comedy Clubs, Shows, Parties, Conventions, Corporate Events, Special Events, etc...

Audiences warm up to TLC quickly because of her unique personality and sharp wit that make her writing and stand-up hil-air-ious! With the right touch of sarcasm, she finds the bright side of personal challenges and everyday circumstances from a unique point of view. But go back to 1987 and things in Tari's life weren't so funny. She was in a terrible car accident that killed her best friend and left Tari in a coma for 7 days. When she came out of the coma she had total amnesia. "I couldn't do anything, I didn't even have bladder control among other things you should know how to do at 18," she explains. But Tari found that having a sense of humor about what happened helped her recover and now she uses the accident and her lasting injuries in the act. Turning tragedy into comedy takes the audience on a roller coaster ride and evokes huge laughs. To explain her memory issues she says, “Before the accident I had a photographic memory, now it's more like an Etch-A-Sketch, which really sucks when you come home with this guy you just met that you really like just to find out... your already MARRIED.”

TLC began doing Stand Up in 1999 in Omaha, Nebraska. TLC has been tearing up the comedy scene performing here in the Valley (Phoenix, AZ), at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, and even toured with the very funny mastermind Gallagher. TLC has performed with Louie Anderson at The Excalibur Casino in Vegas, spent a week with Louie Anderson & Friends at the Famous Comedy Store in LA, performed with Louie Anderson at Wildhorse Pass Casino in Phoenix. TLC performs regularly at The Tempe Improv in Tempe, Arizona. TLC was recently chosen by the Judges (Budd Friedman & Mark Lanow) as a finalist (the judges picked 3 out of hundreds of comedians who entered the Nationwide search for the next Great Comedian) in The Improv's Up Yours Comedy Contest.

Influences

If Ellen Degenerous, Steven Wright, & Mitch Hedburg had a baby not only would it be insanely awkward but it would explain TLC. I love them but I am definitely my own person, with my own style, but if you mixed these 3 together you would probably have me, TLC.

You should hire TLC if you want alot of laughing! Her material is thought provoking, smart, true, and hilarious. Her material will stay with you and make you a huge fan. TLC does not curse, although you will not notice because the curse words are not needed to make her joke stronger. There is no need to offend people in the audience, especially when I am being paid not to... cursing offends some so as a rule I don't do it. I do have a couple of jokes that require cursing but I save those for my friends. Tari is genuinely alot of fun and will make your event.
