Suzy Blacks is a company that stands for three core values: authenticity, hard-work and compassion. After working for years to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, Founder Lindsay King decided she not only wanted to go into business for herself, but she wanted to do so by helping small and medium local businesses to “get on the map” however possible. Having worked in digital media and with an array of businesses, it’s made Lindsay well-rounded in terms dealing with different types of people and industries. Her knack for online marketing and event coordination sets her apart from other like-minded entrepreneurs; as the combination of online and offline services can form Suzy Blacks into an official brand in both marketing and events.
As a Maryland-native, the name Suzy Blacks was derived from the state flower, the Black-Eyed Susan. Seeing similarities between the flower and herself, Lindsay thought the abbreviated name of the flower was a clean and concise representation of herself and her business plan- with the terms “pioneer” and “competitive” taking center stage.
