The Beach Boys songs play a major role in defining the Surf's Up show. Each artist in the band has been chosen for their love of those lush vocal harmonies that accompany the great surf sound of the 60's. We had the great pleasure of being totally entertained by Surf's Up at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, several years ago. The experience was as close to dancing and singing along with the Beach Boys as you will ever get outside of being with the orignial group. They are high energy, drawing the crowd out to the dance floor. I felt like I couldn't get enough of the music and fun. I was searching for the events calendar for this group when I came across this site. They are well worth hiring for any event.. I could feel the sun on my face and sand between my toes in the salty air at their show, even in Tiffin, Ohio. Great Job, guys!!!!!!

They have given us a wonderful taste of what it must have been like to grow up in the sun and surf of beautiful, Southern California. Their anthems to those beautiful, California girls and those fuel-injected Stingrays have bridged the gap of the east and the west coast. If you should happen to recognize the "5 Boys of Summer" on the cover of this CD, it should come as no surprise that it's Steve, Mark, Rick, Tony and Craig: Phil Dirt & The Dozers!
After 23 years of performing the songs of The Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, The Four Seasons and Jackie Wilson (just to name a few), they have finally answered the call of so many of their loyal fans: "Play more Beach Boys songs!"...the songs of America...the songs that make us smile and have become the soundtrack to some of our fondest memories. "Don't Worry Baby", "Good Vibrations", "Surfer Girl" and "I Get Around" will always be considered pop classics and are just a few of the songs on the Surf's Up setlist!
