Why hire Strings of Victory?

We travel and sing as an all male vocal quartet and play traditional gospel music in a bluegrass style.
Performing all live music, we accompany ourselves with authentic acoustic instruments. A rhythm guitar, 5 string banjo, mandolin and upright bass provide a rounded instrumental ensemble to back up to the vocals. We perform old standards as well as our own original songs. We can also perform most of the regular bluegrass standards as instrumentals where the venue calls for it.

We can also provide solo instrumental and duet instrumental or acoustic music for weddings and other types of functions as well as public speaker for christian services and events.

We treat our music as a ministry and our business dealings with professionalism. We can assist you with promotion of your event through our website and 5 associated websites. We also provide concert posters as needed.

We are proud members of The Southern Gospel Music Association and International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA).

Strings of Victory at OIAM Day 2013 - Kannapolis NC

rating starrating starrating starrating starrating star

OtherWe (First Baptist Church of Kannapolis) had "the Strings" participate in our annual OIAM (operation in as much) Day in May. The guys were fantastic, playing and singing lots of their own material. We had many positive comments made by those attending the Song Service that day. Everyone is really looking forward to having the Strings of Victory perform for us again soon!

About

Traditional Gospel Music

Bluegrass & Bluegrass Gospel

Southern Gospel Music

Acoustic solo instrumentalist, banjo, guitar

Christian public speaker with career law enforcement background. A nice incorporation of a banjo solo into a speaking program makes for an interesting program for all types of events.

Our Past...
The Strings of Victory group started as a musical outreach
ministry. The group started in 2004 performing as the
Singing Deacons when a small group of Deacons gathered
for singing and fellowship. From that simple beginning, God
blessed the men with a calling to a ministry
through the music they loved so dearly.
...Present
After seven years touring the North Carolina Piedmont, the
decision was made to make some changes in the ministry to
enhance the product and increase the effectiveness. A name
change to the Strings of Victory was part of the changes. We
continue to travel and sing as an all male vocal trio and play
traditional gospel music in a bluegrass style. Performing all
live music, we accompany ourselves with authentic acoustic
instruments. A rhythm guitar, 5 string banjo, mandolin and
upright bass provide a rounded instrumental ensemble to back
up to the vocals. We perform old standards as well as our own
original songs.
...and future
As one of our songs mentions, "this world is not my home, I'm
just a passin through" we look forward to eternity in the
presence of our Savior. "What a Day That Will Be!" Until that
day our plans are to be good stewards of the talents God has
given us. We feel the best way to do that is to provide
Christian entertainment, praise, worship, testimony and the
Good News through music.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 120 minutes

The Strings of Victory performs traditional gospel music, hymns, Southern Gospel and original gospel songs in a traditional style. Some songs have more of a blugrass sound while others sound more like vintage southern gospel music. We also perform some secular bluegrass instrumentals where the venue allows.

The group performs at a veriety of events:

Worship Services

Revivals

Camp Meetings

Seniors Meetings

Corporate Events

Fund Raisers

Church Events

Concerts

Community Events

Christmas Parties

Weddings

Funerals

Birthday Parties

Baptisms

Nursing Homes

Retirement Centers

Campgrounds

Many, Many more....we've done them all and enjoyed each one

In worship services where it is appropriate, a word of testimony or even a brief message can be provided.

In less formal settings such as picnics, outdoor fund raisers etc. some traditional bluegrass songs which are not gospel numbers can be performed as instrumentals.

We have found that in some situations such as family reunions, it is best to provide background music instead of trying to command people's attention while they are preoccupied with fellowshipping with others. In these cases we simply play instrumentals and take requests.

In addition, we can provide solo instrumentalists for banjo and guitar for weddings and other events.
