Such a delight

Laura played at my wedding on December 8,2012! My husband's friend was our pianist at first, but he ended up having to back out two weeks before the wedding--Bridal nightmare!
So I got on google and came across Laura's name on GigSalad. I read her reviews (which were all positive), so I decided to write her a message for a free quote. She responded very quickly, and to my relief, had very reasonable prices! She also called me the next day to follow up, give me more information about her services, and let me know a little about herself. She was such a delight to talk to on the phone-- very sweet and outgoing.
We then set up an appointment to go over song choices. Laura started playing the piano, and it was one of the most beautiful sounds I had heard in a long time! You can see her passion for music when she is playing or even just talking about music. She was very informative in helping to pick songs and was open to our preferences/opinions. She was so easy to work with!
She arrived to the wedding promptly, and she was dressed in a beautiful, elegant dress that matched our wedding colors! She also played the piano beautifully. My bridal suit was next to the ceremony room, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her play the piano while I waited for the ceremony to begin. During the reception, I had many guests tell me how beautiful the ceremony music was!
I don't think we could have picked a better pianist! And did I mention that we did all of this the week before our wedding? Yes, we did! :) Laura saved us!
You will not be disappointed if you choose her as your pianist!

Laura met with us at her house to go over some music and we picked out the songs we liked. She has a portable keyboard that sounds amazing! She can make a song sound like the piano, organs, strings, etc. She compiled a list of the music we liked and the order according to our wedding. She helped out at the wedding and gave the minister a signal to walk to the altar. She played 30 minutes before the ceremony and after the ceremony as the guests were leaving. I would recommend Laura!!

Well-planned, lovely music

I was searching for pianists for my Waco wedding and came across Laura through this site. We communicated by phone and email, and I decided she would be great for our ceremony. I had a couple of special requests that were not already in her extensive repertoire - "Yellow" by Coldplay for my processional, and the Baylor school song for our recessional. She found the "Yellow" sheet music online and communicated with me in detail about how she would make the intro, cuts, etc. She searched for the school song and when she couldn't find it, she contacted the Baylor school of music personally and obtained it from them. She pieced together all the ceremony music well in advance of the wedding based on our selections, and she made good suggestions for how to arrange the selections in the prelude, etc. She played at our rehearsal and I requested some changes on "Yellow" for the ceremony - she accomodated this change overnight and it sounded just like I wanted during the ceremony. The quality of her music overall was great, it all sounded beautiful. She is very detail-oriented and will work to make sure everything goes together nicely!

Laura is great! She was super friendly and helpful from the very first phone call. She worked with everything we wanted and worked around our schedules to plan everything. If she didn't have the music(which she has TONS!) she went and got it and practiced it to be perfect for the ceremony! Her and her "Roadie", TJ, are both pleasant and professional and great to work with! She is also very prompt and replies to any inquiries within the same day!! She brings her own keyboard so can change the sound of several songs just by playing it on strings, Electric Piano, regular Piano, etc. Her consultations are fun and upbeat and really let you get a feel for what will be played at your wedding or any event!!
