Overview

About

We play music from latinamerica folklore tradition and Canto Nuevo. Members are from Chile, Mexico and Colombia and sometimes we have guest musicians from Iran, US and beyond. We collaborate with poets, visual artists, dancers and cuisine to make our events feel even closer to our language, spirit and musical message.
Our musicians participate in other groups so we can also perform as a trio, duo or soloist.

Personnel

Diego Coy: Andean flutes, percussionist
Abel Rocha: Voice, string instruments (guitar, cuatro, harp), percussion
Patricia Mazuela: Voice, guitar

Influences

We are inspired by Canto Nuevo Movement that started in late 70s in South America, specially Chile and Argentina: Mercedes Sosa, Violeta Parra, Victor Jara. It is music where folklore is combined with indigenous roots with messages with a social justice content, love and peace.
