About

Side Effect consists of vocalist Matt Tucci, guitarist Zack Colvin, bassist Kyle Tucci, and drummer Scottie Noll. The band was formed in June of 2009 and has since acquired a strong following.

Side Effect has been making a name for themselves sharing the stage with the likes of local bands such as Distorted Anarchy, Dress Your Wounds, E-Visceral, Five Cases of Tragedy, For The Win, Riot Academy, Table 21, The Party Scene, Under Spinning Lights, Unholy Justice, Vacancy, Vintage Sky, and Voiceless Century.

The band has not only played with other New York bands, but has performed with bands from all along the east coast. Boys Will Be Boys from Virginia and Pathway to Providence of Florida fame are of these bands that have traveled to play shows with Side Effect.

Side Effect stands for American youth who are influenced by and forced to live in a corrupt society. The lyrics and song subjects deal with growing up in this aforementioned world and the struggles of daily life in it of itself. The lyrics touch on subjects such as religion, society, relationships, and the tedious itch to become an individual free of authority.
