Savannah's Smiles Face Painting was born in the summer of 2009, when I was asked to face paint for a benefit my church was having for a 2-year-old with cancer. I had never done it before but figured I would give it a try. I fell in love! My daughter, Savannah, and I painted all day and loved the reactions of everyone who was painted. We were asked many times for our business card, which led us to start thinking... could we possibly do this all the time? I began researching into proper paints and supplies and learning different faces.

In October that year, we were asked to paint at my family's annual reunion and actually booked several gigs there and so we began to try to think of a name for our business. We always loved the movie, "Savannah Smiles" and since my daughter's name is Savannah and we love creating smiles, the name fit perfectly!

Since that time, we have added extensively to our gallery of designs, and added several different features to our business. My daughter is training to be a face painter one day (she's 14 at this time) but in the mean time she is our glitter artist, providing all the sparkly glitter art you could possibly want! We also provide "eye bling"- eye makeup with tiny rhinestones, perfect for weddings and proms, and "Bump" painting... painting the expectant mother's tummy in the design of her choice. We do the bump paintings in the privacy of your own home and then take lots of pictures. The Mommies-to-Be usually have us design something to match the nursery, so that the photos can be framed and hung there.

Our Specialty is Premium Face Painting... face painting with pizzazz! We do Princess and Pirate parties and turn all the kids into pretty princesses and dashing pirates and then they get to take the accessories home to continue their play!

We have attended LaFete in New Orleans, a face painting convention with the top face painting instructors and will be attending FABAIC in Florida this spring. We never tire of learning better and more complex designs!
